I am super excited to participate in the Garden Party Row Along put on by Seams to be Sew! Thanks so much to Marian for putting this on and letting me participate!
This year all the rows are different shapes and sizes and they all have to do with gardens. We have all sorts of gardens. Vegetable gardens, rock gardens, flower gardens, cactus gardens, etc.
Here is the big reveal! My garden row!
I call it "Sunflowers on a Brick Wall." It is not just Sunflowers, but is how it started out as.
I love quilting with geometric shapes and flowers. When the theme for this year’s row along was announced, I ran outside and took this picture as my inspiration.
I loved the idea of these bricks along the edge of a flower garden. I thought that would be fun to make into a quilt!
The bricks are made by strip-piecing and they come together quite easily.
The flowers are appliquéd on. The pattern comes with templates for multiple flowers, stems, and leaves so that you can make it as wild or as simple as you like. They are appliquéd on using the raw edge technique, but you are welcome to use your favorite appliqué method.
Unfinished size is 12.5 x 18.5 inches (32 x 47 cm.)
The instructions for this row are available in my shop. They will be free from September 10th through September 18th, 2020. After that, they will be available for purchase in the same place.
(Please note that you will have to go through the purchase process to download the pattern. The pattern is free and you will not be asked for a payment method. I do not collect or use your information unless you sign up for my newsletter and that would only be your email address.)

I love how you modelled this on your own retaining wall. And how the flowers evolved to become a mixed bed. Thanks for sharing your pattern.
